Rival Schools was approached by the Emmy Award winning visual effects studio Atmosphere VFX – best known for Battle Star Galactica – to redesign and redevelop their online presence. Our concept was to carve out an experience that showcases Atmosphere’s abilities beyond star fields, robots and intergalactic dogfights. After much brainstorming, “The World Above the Clouds” was born … seemed fitting for a studio called Atmosphere.
Rival Schools delivers
The site features a full Flash front end, which allowed us to let our imagination run wild with the presentation. There is also a robust back-end that allows the guys at Atmosphere to update information, upload videos and make news releases.
The site won a Davey Award and a Summit Emerging Media Award for innovative creativity. We’re blushing.
